How much can I reduce my PDF size?
Most PDFs can be reduced by 40–85% depending on how many embedded images they contain. Text-heavy PDFs compress less than scan-heavy PDFs.
Will text still be readable after compression?
Yes. Text is a very small part of PDF file size and is not affected. Only embedded images are re-compressed, and at recommended settings the difference is imperceptible.

Can I compress password-protected PDFs?
No. You must first remove the password protection before compressing. Once the protection is removed, you can compress and then re-add protection if needed.
